I want *this* scope BUT . . .

US Optics TS 3-14x as seen / reviewedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FWSlfncmwM&ab_channel=EDgunLeshiy ( kinda sorta by both Joe Rhea and the Edgun Leshy guy - Joe looked at one variant of it with a different reticle, this guy looked at the one I'd like to get - I like that reticle )

I'd really like an illuminated reticle. I've been popping a ton of pigeons and other critters out of barns lately and have a hawke on the gun I've been using for pesting that has an illuminated reticle at just the center + which has proven to work fantastically for me. Some parts of some of these barns are not well lit, I'm shooting at dark birds in dark'ish environments, sometimes its easy to lose the cross hairs . . . . I slapped that scope on and . . . . happy camper. I pulled that scope off of my field target gun though and would just assume put it back on that one.

So . . . . what's out there guys that is close to this US Optics one in feature set - short, not terribly expensive, ffp, mil (I prefer mil to moa) and ability to light up the reticle?

@scouty -- indeed - busy looking reticle! ( lol ) BUT - so long as that reticle is lit on what are sometimes just silhouettes for targets (birds in dark areas) AND for that price AND they're even throwing in rings too . . . phhht. It's a no brainer. Thanks!

I may sit on this post though for a few hours and see if our resident scope jedi ( @odoyle ) chimes in with some recommendations. (( or any of the other very knowledgeable guys in here for that matter ... )) but for now this one you're pointing me to is a leading contender.

If you NEVER looked through an Alpha6 2.5-15x50 or 4.5-27x50 then read on... (Since Your eye expectations won't be too high)

If USO just RECENTLY started to use Japanese glass in their TS12x scopes then I'd say buy it because the older ones look pretty much identical to the Discovery VT3 and Vector Veyrons CHINESE glass. So if it's got new upgraded Japanese glass then it SHOULD be nicer than the Discovery and Vector.

The Discovery was a hair brighter though than the original??? TS12x.

The USO FFP reticle will be hard to see at 3x - 7x in real world use in the field especially due to lack of illumination.

If they use the same glass as before (TS12x) you are likely better off getting the Discovery HD 3-12x44 with illuminated FFP reticle. Only downfall is they only got 3 years of warranty vs Lifetime Warranty with USO but most don't even know how the warranty throw away system works how that much markup the scopes have to cover it.
