Yep. I agree. The .30 and up is just more money than I want to spend. Not to mention fooling with filling very 30 shots or so. Today I shot my RAW just tuning and getting ready for a match. Yesterday and today, I shot 2.5 tins of pellets in .177. I know, that is a lot of testing. But think how much that would have cost in .30. I have a compressor so the amount of air isn't a big deal. But I just don't want to stop and fill so often.
So, back to the OP, I think if I were making that choice, and it wasn't a money issue, I think I would go with the .25 or .22 Crown. I've had maybe a dozen or so PCP's in my hands, and I think the Crown is probably one of the most accurate .25's I've touched.
i do have a RAW and a RedWolf and they are both extremely accurate. But they are also very expensive. And they don't shoot THAT much better than my Crown.
And of course, just my opinion.
