I want a golf ball rig !!

There was a run up the calibers to .30, and now we're seeing a run back down them to mainly .25 for FX and .22 for the LWpoly boys. For reasons of ammo cost and air consumption, I too might be inclined to head more in the .25 direction. A WC sounds nice, although I'm sure there will be plenty of differing opinions. I would just note I run a .22 Crown and can put 10 rounds inside an inch at 100 yards on a good day. A golf ball is almost an inch and three quarters in diameter, so even on a bad day I'm easily within "minute of golf ball" at 100 yards. I've taken things back to 200 as well, and can put rounds on a nice little 3" steel gong I have downrange. For that reason I guess I'd say shoot what you like, and don't sweat the calibers too much regarding what some guys consider the "latest and greatest." With a good gun, they're all pretty darn capable these days it seems...... assuming you do your part.

I want a 25 cents Rig!! One that I can get all five shots under a quarter at a 100 yds!

This is close as I can get LOL! There's two holes under that quarter! .22 Cricket pup shooting 25 gr RD Monsters @ 894 fps

Yep. I agree. The .30 and up is just more money than I want to spend. Not to mention fooling with filling very 30 shots or so. Today I shot my RAW just tuning and getting ready for a match. Yesterday and today, I shot 2.5 tins of pellets in .177. I know, that is a lot of testing. But think how much that would have cost in .30. I have a compressor so the amount of air isn't a big deal. But I just don't want to stop and fill so often.

So, back to the OP, I think if I were making that choice, and it wasn't a money issue, I think I would go with the .25 or .22 Crown. I've had maybe a dozen or so PCP's in my hands, and I think the Crown is probably one of the most accurate .25's I've touched.

i do have a RAW and a RedWolf and they are both extremely accurate. But they are also very expensive. And they don't shoot THAT much better than my Crown.

And of course, just my opinion.
