I was wrong. These things really are top notch. 3 consecutive 5 shot groups at 50yds and only one was over an inch. Even that one was only over by 0.02". I think I found my new gopher getter.

Works great for break time plinking at work too!

Hmmm. I thought it reviewed good when available , too bad.
I guess sig just fell into the assult gun look stuff . You know make all guns look like the ones most under attack by dems.. kinda funny like its a set up. So why ditch a good sporting gun ?

It probably wasn't profitable enough for them. The synthetic ASP had an MSRP of only like $350 and I think the wood stock was $425. Given that the Gamo Magnum sells for $300 I think they were definitely cutting themselves short some especially with them throwing in a semi decent optic and building them here in the states.

True then a r9 was 399 hard to compete.. test reviews looked good owners reviews looked good . Seems it could of stayed going

The Gamo Magnums have always been ridiculously overpriced (the previous wood-stocked Gamo 1250's fetched up to 600 e), which is a real anti-bargain, given they aren't any better than the 199 dollar Gamos, only bigger. But they are common enough in the second hand market to see their real value realized (they do have some).

When it comes to the ASP20, the company did shoot itself in the foot by not providing replacement parts and only allowing work done on the guns by SIG. That's not what the guys who are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on quality spring piston guns look for. Many potential ASP20 sales fell through because of this.
