I received my P-15 JBE forward side lever kit from acrossed the pond yesterday

It took 35 days from the PayPal payment to the west coast mail locker. I could have gotten one stateside, but the impulse was too great after our messaging system here on the forum, at the time was not working for me or the seller.

The instructions, which are contained in a provided booklet with several, maybe 15, 8x11 inch pages with photo’s. I can even see them with my declining eyesight.

I plan to install it on my 22 Skyhawk over the next few days.

The parts are very sturdy 3d printed and a aluminum linkage. My wife and her eyes will assist me on this mod, she is getting pretty good at reassembling my Airguns these days.

I used to have great difficulty working on this p-15 rifle, then I ordered a Amazon oring assortmen and everything changed, turns out my p-15 oring kits were old and hard, two words that usually are not associated with each other. I also redid the fill assembly converting it to a side fill nipple and a side viewed gauge that does not require looking down the muzzle to check my tube pressure. That means I also by-passed the cursed fill assembly oring that requires dissssembly of the pressure tube to replace, which is why they are sold in Oring packs 9of 10.

The Skyhawk also has a very accurate lw poly choked 20 inch barrel.

The lever installed so far.

It is very difficult for me to read and see pictures with my vision failing, from a dying optic nerve, and I made a mistake in the installation. I did most of the instal in bed as I have been bed ridden the last month, but healing up now.

The misstep was putting the cheek piece back on, that came back to haunt me in the end. While trying to instal the last part, the cover for the rear of the receiver, I ham-fistedly, (maybe not a real word) broke part #7. The part was well made, my attempt to instal it was all wrong

I have purchased a replacement part and taped the pieces back together, then ordered acetone to glue the pieces together. John Bowman answered quickly.

It works without the #7 piece, perhaps better as now my face is lower on the receiver without it. I may need higher scope rings with that piece because I shoot wrong handed now, not having a eye on that side anymore. I may leave it off as I do not have a beard to perhaps catch in it.

Having said all this, shooting the Skyhawk from the shoulder with a mid mounted lever is incredible, this thing works very well.

These days I am like the list dog in the old radio add, “Lost dog, has three legs, neutered and blind with broken tail and answers to ‘Lucky’.”

I have some glossy cf tubing coming to cover the barrel this week, then maybe give the stock some attention. I have it tuned to 12 fpe, but may take it down to 10 fpe.

Roachcreek where did you order your kit? how expensive are they I have one of the first P15 22 that Michael Eisch brought in back in 2015 it shoots great very accurate but I've thought about the forward cocking for some time.

@Roachcreek on a personal note: hang in there my friend. I certainly understand limitations and time in bed. Airguns is what keeps me going these days even if I don't get to fire them as often as I want to.

Yeah it’s weird, 4 months ago I was doing workouts of 300 push-ups and walking 3 to 4 miles. Burnt my guts out with NSAIDS and then got a pinched nerve in my neck. Thanks for the kind words.

I ordered through John Bowmans Facebook site, it took just over a month and the price was around $180 bucks once the currency was exchanged via PayPal. It ships from England.

Krank, a member here on the forum, has been sitting on a kit for some time, he ordered two and only installed one, so that is a faster route.
