I believe Joseph Schulz sold the company in 2008. Even though he still liked going there regularly I don't think his passing would slow production. They were producing 65 million pellets per month two years ago and demand has risen sharply.

Just received an email response from Pavel Kolebac, actual main man at JSB.
He says that the lack of inventory is cause by increase of demand in the US, not because of a reduction in the amount of pellets sent by them.
