It's my fault for making a vanity post instead of a contribution of knowledge or encouragement but if I had known the childish foundations this post got built on, I would have stayed out.

It seems like this is some sort of playground argument that is frankly shameful behavior for even children to partake in let alone mature adults who chose to belong to this community.

I don't follow the forums closely enough to know who took offense to what but in the grand scheme of things i can't imagine it really matters.

It's sad when we choose to interact with other members of our (or, come on, any) community in unkind ways.

I'm kind of ashamed to have even ignorantly contributed.

bummer! Good shooting.

Here is my 100 yard group with CPHP .22 pellets. I’m pretty confident it can be 3/4 inch group if there is no wind but don’t have such luxury so the wind flipped 180 degrees on the 5th shot…..of course.

What magic did you use to shoot CPHP this well? Please tell me your secret..........

watching the wind indicator and a little bit of luck……which ran out on the fifth shot as usual! The wind shift 180 degrees as I squeezed the trigger.😡 honestly I was shocked to see them shooting so well out of my superior heavy liner, they do shoot phenomenal out of the superior liner and I expected the heavy liner to shoot pellets poorly but I was pleasantly surprised.

Here is a better group although only three shots at 100 yards with 177 12.5 slugs, in the wind might I add! Obviously a good amount of luck was involved and I didn’t want to tempt fate by shooting at that group again, I just couldn’t do it! LOL

center to center was 0.58 inch I think, one of my best groups at 100 yards ever for me. Three is a party/group right?😁

Edit: I lube my pellets with pledge from Tom aka field target tech, haven’t seen him here in almost a year so hope all is well. I skipped washing part and go straight to lube. Could be psychological but I think they shoot tighter with lube, but at the very least I don’t have to clean my barrels.

Here is one of the few times I have shot at a target at 100 yards. Around November 2011. Shot in the wind for 5 shots then waited for the wind to die down. In about 10 minutes when the wind did quit I shot the rest of the magazine, 6 shots, about as fast as I could. I couldn't see the group until I walked down to the target. FX 500, early model without the velocity wheel. 25.4 gn JSB exact quarter bore pellets straight out of the can.

One of the so very few Longs to ever be shipped to the Western Hemisphere from the Ukraine, a bone-stock Ukrainian Taipan Vet Long .22, as it came out of the box, except tuned down to 806-810fps. Pellets inspected/sized/weighed. That 0.93" is an eight-shot group of 15.89's, even though it says 7-shot. I can't count. Then I switched over to 18.13's on the same target and shot a 0.87, just lower and to the right. I once had a 0.47 going...until I blew it on the fourth shot. Unlike most claims of best Taipan accuracy being with the 18.13's this gun likes the 15.89's better. (Maybe I like them better, who knows.) Most of these I shot at 4-5:30am so as to insure as still of wind conditions as possible. You don't need to do a bunch of mods on a Taipan to make it shoot better. They will shoot better than you can, from the factory. If you want to play tuner and mess up a gun, go get a Marauder to do it to. It's a crime to do it to a Taipan. Just...NO...
