I picked up a new airgun...

And It's a 22 hw 97 ....I was going to buy another tx in 22 but I figure why not get something different . This hw is actually stacking crosman hp pellets which is great . I was very happy to find a almost new version with older stock design.

Beautiful gun. Had a .22 97LK and it did 'acceptable' with Crosman HP, but believe it or not, it was great with RWS HP... even out to 50 yards. JSB's and the usual 'go to' pellets just shot terrible in that particular gun. Ended up trading it for a .177 version just because I prefer springers in .177.
I'd never seen anything that like RWS HP that much.

It's all stock shooting crosman hp at 715 fps...I think I will shoot it for a while then order a vortex kit like my tx has . What velocity are you guys getting out of your stock form hw and with kit?
Congrats on the new gun! I'm getting 730fps with 14.66 gr FTTs in my .22 97K with Vortek HO kit and his piston seal.

Hi. new here. Thought I'd reply since I have the same two guns

I had a Hw97 for a long while and always wanted to try to tx200 and became disappointed with my hw97 after I got the tx. Everyone says they're comparable but it just seems like everything is nicer about my tx200. I have the stainless with plastic thumbhole on the hw97. I'm tempted to try another with a nice wooden stock which I am more partial to anyway.
