Hello AirgunNation Peoples,
Once I said I never wanted to own a .177 caliber PCP, nor another 1 inch diameter tube scope. Well, that’s all out of the window now with this great little airgun and scope combo I have paired together!
What I have here is the FX Dreamline Classic (synthetic) in .177 cal. Matched with the 1” tube diameter HAWKE Frontier 4-20x44 SF IR MIL-Pro (20x) Reticle.
Quite a name for quite a scope! I think I banded myself from 1” tube scopes because of how many I destroyed in the past with springers. 30mm scopes are my preference for the light transmission. But... This is a fine piece of glass right here! Light, very light weight, clear as 4k HD, and tracks as good as any.
I am crazy about the reticle!
This is the (10x) reticle, couldn’t find a photo of the (20x) reticle. The (20x) has even more devisions near the main crosshair. I’m talking about precise! It’s a true mil to mil at 20x magnification @ 100 yards and that’s cut in half @ 10x magnification @ 100 yards. I shoot mainly on 10x, perfect for this .177 Dreamline Classic.
And as far as this .177 caliber 20 foot pounder, there is nothing rabbit sized or smaller 50 yards and in that I couldn’t put a headshot on with ease! I almost forgot how fun it is to shoot a .177 that’s pin-point accurate! 9 times out of 10 this is all the gun I really need. Using my favorite .177 lead 10.34 grain JSB or Air Arms Heavy’s @ 950fps.
I actually nicknamed this combo “Head-Shot”!
What do you think guys?
