I need some help before i get my first PCP

long short story after a tons of reading and youtube videos finally i found a dealer close to my country that sell kalibrgun crickets, hes official dealer.
I fall in love with this rifle when i saw it first time so am almost sure am getting .22 standart.

What my questions are the dealer country doesnt allow selling rifles with more than 12 Joules and my country also doesnt allow importing with more joules than 12 which is great but is 12 joules good enough to shoot long dinstance targets and will i be able to modificate as am total newbie.

Also which one u suggest me to get standart or compact and wooden or synthetic?

As for the joules he says that in the package will have FAC strong spring which can do up to 50joules.

I highly appreciate everyones time and suggestions, tips and anything u think i may consider and know as am not familiar with air rifles at all, and also sorry my english is not my native language.

Thank you in advance guys and i hope we hang on in future since ill probably join the club! :)

"Birdo"12 joules is only enough for 10 meter target guns. I would not bother with an expensive field rifle like that
well thats not really true. All 10 meter match rifles are 7.5 joules, and the English do field target with 16 joules. It would be fine to around 25 meters.
A larger concern here is that .22 is way to heavy at 12 joules and he really should stick with .177.

Be nice if people actually tried to answer question at least,
Joules is the amount of energy a projectile carries the spring in question is the hammer spring that will strike the valve.

Don't know what country you live in riciab, I think in some countries there are tamper proofs of some kind put on air guns to keep the gun from being tuned past legal limits. I know in some countries air guns over a certain power has to be licensed and so on
If the gun is being shipped with a heavier spring then yes it can be done but depending on your countries laws it may have to be done by a gun smith so the gun can be licensed.
To be honest if there is an airgun club around you this would be your best avenue to ask these kind of questions to insure you stay within the legal bounds
You will need to check your local laws as to those kind of issues
One alternative as Deja suggested is going to a .177 as this will allow you to increase your fps and thereby increase your distance.

This forum discourages discussing methods of bypassing or breaking a countries laws and regulations

It's a ballpark opinion, 12j or 9 fpe isn't enough power for much of anything other close targets and plinking
such a cricket at 9fpe would be unsellable in USA

"Frank2533"Get the gun you want buy within your countries goofy laws. Then order the parts to make it shoot fast like the rest of the world lol. Why do they have sub 12 ft pound laws that blows my mind lol. Thats what id do i would never spend a ton of money on a gun that cant go over 12 ft pounds thats a waste if you ask me.
Why do they not show titties in this country, but sell guns in a super market!? Blows my mind.
