I need a scope for a Benjamin Marauder

The Hawke Vantage line in 2-7x32 or the 2-7x32 IR will give you good glass, eye relief, weight for $100.00 to $150.00 price point. Their 3-9x40 scope is also a great deal at under $150.00. I have one on my .25 Marauder having moved the prior mounted 2-7x32 to a tack driving Leshiy.

The Hawke 2-7x32 is exactly what I have on my Pistol Marauder. The Marauder would definitely rock with the 3-9x40 model.

The Hawke vantage 2x7x32 is probly the best $100-150 scope you will find. The SWFA scopes are an excellent choice as well.

The Vector optics Veyron and Discovery VT-3 scopes are both compact and light weight. Both are 3x12x44 with 30mm tubes. They are both decent for the money around $200 and both Mil/Mil scopes so none of that funky Hawke Mil/MOA stuff going on..

If you are going for an FFP the Veyron has a pretty thin reticle and it can get lost in a dark background at lower magnification. But it does focus down to 7 yards at it's full 12 power so that is not often a problem. It weighs in at 17.6oz and has a nice Mil Hash reticle. It is available in a second focal plane scope as well.

The Discovery will just barely focus to ten yards at six power but it has a thicker reticle that is easier to pic up at lower magnification so it is not a problem either. It weighs in at 18.3oz and has a nice Mil Quad reticle. Also available in 1st or 2nd focal plain.

So there is some give and take between the two and I like them both for what they are.

There are way too many options when it comes to scopes. I can’t tell you what to get or what one is the best. But I’ll say this.
There is no such thing as too much magnification. Even at 30 yards it’s nice to have something in the 12 , 16 or 20 power.
Next. Get a reticle that has some sort of hold over marks.
Lastly . Get a scope with side focusing parallax adjustments.

Bushnell

I just went thru this, so my .02.. I Spent days looking at scopes and reviews..what I came down to was this.

The reticle was important to me...I wanted a floating cross or dot, so that narrowed it down...

I wanted magnification around 18x to20x..

I stuck with a 1" tube to keep the scope low to the rail.

I like Side adjust parallax and target turrets. I like Mil's but a MOA would work also.

Need to dial parallax down to 10yds (15 yds would work)

When it was all said and done, the Bushnell was what I chose. They have decent glass and all the features I wanted at a $200 give or take price point.

I did look at the Element Helix scopes and liked them, but I wanted illumination of the reticle and the $400 scope did not have it.

I have higher end scopes I use on Powder burners, so I know what features I like and want.

The Air gun I want to get is the Air Venturi Avenger, so I think this scope will work well with it.

Just the thought process I used.

^^^^this…. :)

But especially….”There is no such thing as too much magnification

:)

I have a BSA 4-14x44 FFP scope on my Marauder that has been there for years. The glass is decent, I liked the reticle and I like FFP so much I don't think I'll ever use a SFP scope again. I can verify that the TruGlo 4-14x44 FFP, mentioned above, is a similar scope with better glass and a nicer reticle than the BSA. I put a $99 TruGlo on my Dreamline and I am liking it just fine.
