I need a Red Panda .30 slug tune for 75-78 grain boat tail slugs for long distance 200 yards

After 9 different heavy slugs (900 rounds) and countless different tunes, I'm close to my goal of splitting playing cards at 200 yards. The groups are starting to tighten up a bit. Winds today 10-14 mph left to right. Stay tuned.

I tried a bunch of different weights and couldn't find any that grouped well enough for me. I turned up the power and got better results but still not what I wanted. PJ at DonnyFL said they had the best results with the 52gr AEA slugs.
Drumie,
Just my opinion..................
I don't shoot competition. Just club range shooting at 200 yards

Again, just my option....................

One would think that since the RP has won several bench rest competitions, there would be tons of videos and valuable information here on AGN and the internet. However, besides all my AGN RP post and the 2 Youtube videos I made, there is NADA, Nilch, Crickets........

Again, just my opinion............

There has to be a Karma Red Panda "Secret Society" mainly made of pro shooters who are not willing to give up or share there secret tunes. This forces normal shooters like you and me to figure it out on our own.

I just shot my 2000th round today while testing 10 different slugs weights and shapes, 3 different hammer weights and 2 different hammer spring combinations.

I don't want to be a member of the "RP Secret Society" and will gladly tell ALL the AGN members the best .30 cal slug tune I came up with. However, at the moment, I don't want to lead anybody down the wrong path. I still have a few different slug/hammer/spring tunes to play around with.

Yes, I can split playing cards at 200 yards. but I don't its the best tune so far. I hope to post my findings in the very near future. In the mean time, my airgun dealer, "Sunny" at airgundirect.com was instrumental in sourcing these relatively and vaguely mentioned parts from the Karma.. Go ask "Sunny" if you need any RP parts.

I have tried 9 different slug weights with 3 different optional hammer weights and 2 different hammer springs. When you add several different #2 regulator settings and hammer adjustments, IT"S A LOT of testing! And still I decided what .30 cal slug tune is best. For the 200 yard card splitting, I used the following tune. 76 grain boat tail Rouge Precision slugs, #2 regulator 2900 psi, hammer adjustment (center mark), 950 FPS, 90 grain hammer with the optional heavy hammer spring. The stock hammer that comes with the .30 cal slug version has a 70 grain hammer and stock spring. The optional hammers are 90 and 123 grains and a heavy hammer spring. I hope this helps. Please post your best .30 cal setting to share?

General statement here. The RP is highly adjustable and in ease compared to some others. Not electronic but probably the most versatile of the manuals. I have realized that we could have the perfect weight and diameter to L&G engagement but not enough or too much speed, or wrong twist for that length slug stability factor.
We possibly have no idea the stability and trigger control required for tight groups.
Last and most important thing is harmonic balance and I seriously believe the finest tuned rigs go through a process of tuning the common person doesn’t have access to. High speed cameras, frequency/harmonic refinement. So many variables. Airguns are great fun, teachers. I just think it would be nice if we knew what we were getting into from the start and had realistic expectations. Short of paying someone it’s a deep dive. Easily distracted by the next best thing we something just move on.
I’ve been into this for almost 20 years now and I have been shooting since I was 7. My eyes are on the downslope but my knowledge has grown.
You have a good platform. I’ve only looked at them but they are excellent top dog in .30 and .30 slugs or pellets are well rounded for I would say anything most people would ever want to do close up to 3-400 yards.
I personally love 10m .177 to .257 but I don’t like complicated PCP. Rock solid platform and tethered to a 6K step down inline reg. What that does for high performance Airguns like this Scandalous or a no onboard reg Condor with any barrel we choose is give super easy adjustment and consistency once there.
I have literally tried different slugs and from a bigger SCBA reached over and adjusted bar + or - and watched groups grow or shrink. It’s harmonics, speed to weight, twist, stability factor. When it’s right, hole on top of literal hole is not unobtainable. When we don’t know where to begin or platform is either not easily adjusted or too over engineered it is a literal nightmare you want to give up on and wonder why you dumped 3+ grand into lol.
Just some thoughts. Best wishes on finding your perfect tune.
