I MIGHT HAVE TO HUNT TO PUT FOOD ON TABLE

I saw this guy on YouTube. He speaks perfect. So I don't know what's up on here?

I know plenty of people who "speak" perfect English, but can't write worth $hit. Some people don't get out of middle school let alone High School or College.

Just think about it. Got any kids? My 2yr old Grandson can speak lots of understandable words, but can't write much more then squiggly lines.

My suggestion would be to try one of the "talk to text" programs, but even then it might get the "stake" vs "steak" wrong.

Got any dairies or farms around you? Go buy a goat or a calf. Calves are very cheap right now like $20 for a holstein. If I was truly in a SHTF scenario id go that route. Calves are 80-100lbs when born. There's enough meat to get quite a bit I would guess if you were starving and needed anything.

That's some nice tender veal and the cheapest way to get it.

Not judging here but I see you mention ebt funds so my question is if you are worried about losing govt welfare due to the shutdown why not find a job? Are you disabled? Like I said im not judging just trying to figure out how or why you are in this situation and how to get out of it. There has to be a way for you to be able to eat and not turn to criminal acts to do so. If this shutdown will cause you to do criminal things you really need to take a real hard look in the mirror and fix some things in your life

I wish the govt would stay shut down. Thats a whole other topic tho.

Not directed at you but...There is no such thing as "government welfare" it will always be taxpayer welfare. Anytime I hear someone say government assistance I tell them it's taxpayer assistance. It all comes from your neighbors. Government only produces more expense. I find it hilarious when people from socialist countries say they have "free healthcare" or free anything.

I know this isn't the proper forum for the subject but people should discuss this more often. Many people have no clue how the world actually works.

He covered the questions earlier in the thread but it's a tough decipher.

Edited because my post was somehow 2 feet long

landcaster high school home of red devil in va kinetic45 I was kick out in 11 year

I've got you beat then, I left high school in 9th grade when my alcoholic father threw me out on the streets to live on my own at 14. I wrote badly and spoke so Cajun no one could understand me.

Worked as a carpenter's helper, studied at night and got my GED, when I turned 17 I went back and got my Mom to sign for me to go into the Navy where of course I got to be a river boat diesel mechanic during Vietnam. Took the Navy diving course just because it was offered.

I got out and worked as a comercial and salvage diver and boat mechanic and took college classes one at a time for a couple years... Then went to work as a security guard at nights 40 hours a week PLUS worked every evening 4 hours as a waiter at a restaurant for another two years whole I took full time classes. And graduated with honors with a degree in biochemical enginering.

A few years later I went back to school and got my aircraft mechanics license, A&P.

I've worked in 17 countries and hunted on three continents... And I never finished High school but I sure attended the Percussion University (the School of Hard Knocks)

So don't make roadblocks if front of yourself, by God this is America and you are only as down as you let yourself be.

P.S. I said my Dad a was a GS9 with the government but as he was a fifth of whiskey + six pack a day alcoholic I often wondered how he did it???

Congress Jan. 11 advanced legislation that would provide back pay when the government shutdown ends for federal workers currently on furlough or on the job without pay.

This bill requires employees of the federal government who are furloughed or required to work during a lapse in appropriations beginning on or after December 22, 2018, to be compensated for the period of the lapse.

The House voted 411-7 to pass S. 24, which provides retroactive pay for the affected workers. The Senate passed the bill on a Jan. 10 voice vote. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KU) has said President Donald Trump will sign the bill.

The partial government shutdown, which started Dec. 22, stems from a standoff over funding for Trump’s proposed border wall. About 800,000 federal workers have been affected. That includes the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which is tasked with enforcing workplace anti-discrimination laws. About 2,078 staff and contract personnel of the EEOC have been told to halt work during the shutdown, while 103 essential EEOC workers are still on the job, officials have told Bloomberg Law.

Passage of the retroactive pay measures comes amid a week of federal worker protests and several congressional Democrats and Republicans using floor speeches to lament the deadlock.

Labor-related agencies like the Labor Department and the National Labor Relations Board are funded through fiscal year 2019 through already approved measures.

I couldn't agree more. I always encourage people to take risks and "live" at as early of an age as possible, it's the only way to get wider perspective on life. Even with perspective, people tend to get tunnel vision and trap themselves, especially in certain parts of the world.

I won't bore you with my story, but suffice to say that I had been roadblocked myself many years ago, several times. The only way out was a complete change in location. I was fortunate to make the right moves, but I could have just as well not taken to the extreme and remained glued down.

Two motivational slogans that I have remembered:

Life is short, play hard

and when in doubt: Just do it.

Look man I wouldn't worry about the countries shut down. Our government does this stuff to keep us scared off balance and dependant on the government. If I were you I would buy non parishable food and store lots of water. I bought two 55 gal drums for 20 bucks and filter and treat hosewater for longtime storage. It is not stupid to think that there might be a colapse one day. In fact its smart but dont let it consume your every thought. I use the same fears you have as an excuse to hoard ammo pellets airguns and real guns. Imagine instead of feeling acid in your stomach you feel excited because you can justify buying a new airgun or learn how to freeze dry food or be motivated to learn a new skill. God bless brother its not so bad keep calm and buy an evanix airspeed!
