I Love JSB King Heavy MK1's

I use them in all my Condor .25 cal guns and besides being accurate, they have a great BC for a pellet and really have great down range energy ! I have been launching them around ~965fps, 70 fpe at the muzzle and 42fpe at 90 yards ...... awesome !

I changed my sight settings a bit so between 20-65 yards I have a ~1.25+ trajectory between 40-50 yards, (the highest) and about .5 for the rest. Between 65-85yds I have about a total 3.4" drop, with a 65-75 yard drop of about 1.5" .... it does not get better than that !

I will be testing some slugs in a few weeks, but for a pellet and gun combo, I'm very happy. Of the small amount of game that I have shot (all in the 55 yard area), it has knocked everything backwards and lights out ! At 50-60 yds I have no problem with "yotes" in the head !

Have 20 tins more arriving next week... if I can keep my spending down I will buy another 12 tins on Tuesday.. Got 12% discount, free pellets and free shipping with my order from AGD. get 11% from Pyramyd Air till Tuesday the 5th of July.

These are the sales I look for -- free shipping, buy 4 get one free, and a 10-12% discount added on. That is a substantial savings.

I really love these pellets in my Condors, they really smack stuff hard and keep their velocity at long range !

I shot the mk1's out of both my .25's and they shot amazing at both 870fps and 920fps. Once I get all my standard kings shot up, I will switch to the heavies.

All of your posts about your Condor has just about got me ready to buy one. I had a talon ss years ago, but have been kicking around either a custom .257 Condor from R&L or maybe just stay with a stock .25?

The Condor is a powerful and accurate gun, but is a bit different because of its design... it is pretty much like a broomstick gun and is not as pleasing to the eye as many of the other high power PCP guns we know.

But it is a shooter, and it is very easy to work on - fix/add new barrels, shrouds, etc, etc. The "O" ring replacement thing is one of the MAJOR things I like ... it takes very little airgun repair skill to get this gun back and running should something go wrong ... it has very few essential moving parts that can go wrong. look on the forums of the number of guys that have to send their guns back to be worked on, very few AirForce guns ... And I would bet those folks that send them back have very little mechanical ability or are very new to airguns and have never worked on an airgun. Try building a QB78/79 or taking apart your Career 707 and putting "O" rings in it ... you better have the correct tools and know what you are doing ... it took me MANY conversations and text to be able to confidently remove my front housing on my Careers and replace the "O" rings ! I have not had to do any work on my Airforce guns yet but I can see how they work ;- )

I'm going to call Air force tomorrow and order a couple valve pieces and I should be good for years. It is a very simple valve system that just works !

I have my scopes on medium rings so in effect they sit pretty low - my guns are not real comfy to shoot. I set them up like this on purpose as I wanted the scope as low as I reasonably can have ... it is a trajectory thing based on my intended sight in range and the amount of POI between the ranges I normally shoot at. At the speed I'm shooting I'm about a half a pellet high at 20 yards and on at 65yards, rising about ~+-1.25" from 35-50yds and around .5 high at the rest of the ranges .... a quarter of an inch here or there makes no difference to me. From 65-75 I average about ~1.00 low ... she has about 46fpe at 75 yards and about 43 fpe at 90 yards.

Because of where I shoot I'm extremely careful the direction I shoot and where my pellet might land ... this ammo can travel long way ... I treat it as if I'm shooting a 22LR !

Ya, I haven't built up a QB in a long time. Always enjoyed those as well.

I do like the simplicity of the airforce guns but sold the talon because of the ergonomics. I like the power, but just not sure if I can settle into the odd ergonomics of the airforce guns again. That is all that has held me back from buying one.

I know what you mean about being careful where you shoot. The closest structure behind me is 800 yards at my home range. I have guns that make upwards of 170fpe, so I have a huge backstop for target work and use a lower powered gun for pesting outback if the direction is even remotely questionable. I watched my 70fpe .25 ricochet a 43gr eunjin out to atleast 400 yards before I could no longer see dust kick up. I was on my other property where I usually hunt, so no danger of hitting anything or anyone, but it opened my eyes to just how far a higher powered airgun can reach.

Besides the tins I have coming next week I just ordered 12 more of the same because of the multi discounts this past week or so ..... buy 3 tins get one free, a 11or12% discount depending if you bought from AGD or PA, and free shipping.

When you get all of those it is time to buy, many times they won't allow the discount with the free shipping !

I'm stocking up on these as I have a hunch prices will soon rise and Kalifornia may ban internet sales of pellets ... as they are trying to ban internet sales of ammo right now. This was once a great state, now it is horrible.

"EXZIVER"How do the MKII's shoot compared to the MK1's out of your condor? All I've ever shot out of mine are the regular kings.

Thanks
T.J.
Have no idea, I stick with the original version as I figure it was designed for optimum ballistics and not re manufactured to meet a OAL requirement for some guns magazines.

Just my thoughts.

I have two shipments coming in and the sale goes on till Tuesday evening ... I may get another 12 tins ....pay for 9, get 3 free, get an 11% discount and free shipping.

They just outlawed internet sales of ammo today in Kalifornia (Governor Brown signed the bill earlier this afternoon), so it is just a matter of time before they start going after pellets too !

I can basically keep the Kings all touching at 50 yards though my Impact at around 900 fps 'right out of the tin'.m There are a few fliers without sorting, but not many.

Can't do that with the King Heavies (mk1 or 2). I did a weight sort of the King Heavies mk1 and they varied from 33.1g to 35.2g

Here is a picture of the weight distribution. It took weighing 60 King Heavies to get 10 of the same weight.
