I have sinned!!

Forgive me for I have sinned!
At 74 I set down the rules I would follow when buying an air gun; size, weight, caliber, intended use etc. Don’t spend too much. Don’t need new. Researched everything and can hold my own in a technical conversation on current and past equipment.

Hold out until the show is over and see what happens, what’s new, what goes up for sale from guys hungry for the new shiny toys. What treasures will they part with? Be patient.

Then I saw her at a distance. WOW I was surprised I could still have those feelings. I touched her and sooo firm and the lines were flawless. She reeked with quality breeding. My hand was shaking and home we went.

Man can she perform! A little heavy but laid out on the pads she just purrs. No jumping around or in appropriate behavior.

Everyone should have a “Prosport” at least once.

"RuideCastro"best out of the box springer, bar none, had three, ´till I surrender to pcp´s! in many ways I regret having done so. prosports teach you how to shoot. I also had a TX, but I´m still surprised how people favor the tx . they very much the same mechanically, but in terms of looks , prosport beats´em springers .
We TX-owners were trying not to hijack this fellow's Pro Sport thread, but what the hell, you've opened the floodgates now. ;) I went with the TX because I knew I'd like to shoot it a LOT, and TX's are easier to cock, on account of the longer lever. (in exchange for the slightly less elegant lines) Also, they're $100 cheaper, hehehe.

It took me awhile before I was willing to say it, but my TX200 is indeed "PCP-accurate" inside 40 yards, and maybe even 50. It's hard to tell, since my PCPs shoot harder and are therefore less affected by wind.

Pro Sport de-tuned to just under 12 FPE would be sweet though; it would be as easy to cock as a stock US-spec TX200, along with the beautiful lines of the Pro Sport.

Congratulations on the Pro Sport acquisition! Let's see some of these alleged one-hole groups now. :D

I have been researching and shopping for a good .177 rifle. I don't want a PCP .177 ! My question is how much of a stroke effort difference is there between the short and long legged versions, I did some research and could not find much. I also notice one is 930fps and the other is 950fps not a biggie but do both have the same accuracy.
Nick, excellent play on wording brother. :)

Well needless to say, I was a little worried about the effort needed to cock the gun but surprised that if I rest the gun on the butt pad it is quite reasonable. I have had an under lever 22 springer not an AA but a knock off HW type lever 22. The 55 was running 550 to 600 fps and the .22 was mid 900,s. Hated the .22 and loved the HW55. Nick

PS I did not shoot a one hole group. I was lying to my confessor. Waiting for the scope.
