Agreed. I shoot my HW30 with open sights quite often and I really enjoy the change from looking through a scope.

i love open sites. growing up that is all i used,IMO there are not enough PCPs with open sites PAT

I agree there are few PCP's with iron sights. However, after much searching I bought PCP Stoeger XM1 with iron sights. Red fiber optic front sight and rear notch. I replaced the rear sight with a super nice affordable Daisey rear sight. Check it out.

By the way this rifle is Stoeger's first PCP and I really like it. Prolly mfg by Snowpeak/China. It has the same magazine as Diana Stormrider. Mine is thumbhole Camo with a really nice quiet highly engineered moderator. Check it out also. Accuracy is super with AirArms 8.4.

despite my eyes open sights can work good on a gun i get alot of shooting time on, amazes me really .. its more of a 'feeling' the right shot out than a mechanical making it perfect like a scope gives .. i was fishing with a friend one time on a canal and had my .22 mk2 pistol holstered .. there was a bobber floating about 50yds down when we were leaving and i pulled it out and aimed and my buddy was like dream on .. 1st shot blew it up open sights lol ... im like there ya go heheh ..

PCPs, scopes and small targets at long range are the norm for me these days.

I grew up shooting an old Crosman 101 pumper and just recently got got a Benjamin 392. Have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying casual plinking tin cans with iron sights. So much fun that I took the scope off of my FWB 124.

I had a scope on my FWB 124 for probably 40+ years and a few months ago took it off and put the old Williams receiver sight back on. The gun seems to handle much better and is more fun.
