I finally had a chance to push my slug guns out to 200 yards!

Our intentions were to shoot some Peeps, but with the sun in our eyes we had to settle for some 1/10th size steel targets!

Shooting this far with an airgun is seriously fun stuff!

Nice, that's a long way. Did you say .22 caliber and 29 grain slugs? I like the swinger with the background to see misses, makes it much easier to get dialed in than an open swinger. LD in Temecula CA would put hay bales behind them, so you had no idea where your misses were going!

The tune I had on it liked the 27.5g @ 1010fps. I plan on re-tuning the M3 and testing all of the mid to heavy weight slugs.

Yeah the back plate is super useful for seeing your impacts, sighting in, and safety.

Kudos to you for stretching the gun out. Nice to know there are others who will shoot those long shots for no other reason than to see if it will work.
I like lighter slugs so I keep my “long“ shots to around 150 yards but this past weekend I was pushing my M3 to 185 yards with some 23 gr slugs. 150 ain’t bad, 185 was a bit of a stretch for those little buggers.
Enjoy that M3 and what it is capable of delivering
