AEA I can’t trust this gun. What now?

I think he’s a guy well known in the community. And I’m a noob. So I’m not looking for drama. I did send him a link to this thread in case he wants to respond. But I all have received from him are emails telling me that I’m the bad guy, I’m a scammer, etc., etc.. He tells me that he will win the dispute because he’s dealt with 1 million scammers before.
I’m not experienced in air guns, but I recognize the smell of BS when it hits me. Why so many disputes???

I can’t use this gun, but after my metal slug holders arrive, from Texoma., I’m hoping it’s better. Plus the vendor told me he sent me some metal slug holders too. He’s a sketchy dude. A third of his emails are threatening another third are accusatory and a few have offered to help. But he switches back-and-forth, hot to cold so fast that I don’t know which of his emails to believe.
I guess time will tell.
File the dispute. It has been my experience the CC/PP companies USUALLY side with the buyer.

As of this moment, my new exploding gun is still in its box. My Texoma purchase (of metal inserts) is due today.
The vendor has also sent me something as well. I'm not sure what since he's kind of schitzy, shifting back & forth from 'I'll send replacement parts' all the way to 'No refunds- it's your fault'.

Yeah buddy I'm putting in tracking now but listen we have to test guns for 24 hours so your order literally just went out I wasn't going to put in tracking till tomorrow but I'll put it in now but for future reference all air guns get tested for 24 hours we don't do testing on Sundays

I received the air gun but I can't figure out how to get started. Do I need more components or adapters to fill a cylinder?I bought a GX CS3 compressor. I'm ready to buy a CF bottle too but I'd like to see it fire before another investment.I joined an air gun forum, Trying to learn this. But I can't even see any way to hook the compressor to a cartridge/bottle.Do I need one of those little air-block things?What do I need to make it fire 12 ga rounds? Sabots? Or the .50 cal rounds I bought?Sorry about my ignorance. Would appreciate any advice.

Inside the box there is a screw on fill probe I'm driving right now so this is the best I can do right now you have to call me tomorrow if you can't figure it out but inside the Box there's a still Pro that you screw on to the end of the cartridge you fill it up like that there's plenty of videos on YouTube

I just fired off my first two .50 cal shots. Both the plastic bullet holders shattered. Can I buy more of these or should I get the $40 metal set?

Also I'm wondering if I can buy the shotgun rounds that fit into the cartridges.

Hmm that odd I've heard if them breaking after many hits buddy but one? Anyways I can have u some sent out as replacement but I would get the metal ones from Texoma Precision Pellet

But really, I would like to build my own shells using premade sabots...

Well you would have to get the 72 caliber Barrel kit to shoot those shot shells

Need more experience for that. But I think I saw small shot rounds that fit the stock .50 barrel.

I don't know where you saw that at but if it breaks it because you need Smooth Bore to shoot those just be aware that's not under warranty


I put in an order at the warehouse I do not have any extras so they will be sending it out as soon as possible

well we don't sell them individually i can ask Bin if he would sell you some amd get back to you. Probably wasn't your fault either it probably was just some s***** plastic they used this happened last year in the beginning of the year we had a batch that every freaking one of them broke so it could have just been remnants of that batch so we're going to replace those ones for sure I will get back to you on if if he will sell individual ones and let you know

As far as the other comment I don't really see it just says do you have these two and I see a picture of a label

Oh I seen the pictures sorry I was driving reading this yes I seen the pictures no no I believe you I sent in the order for two more and I asked Ben if he would sell some extra ones so I'm waiting to hear back he'll probably message me back tomorrow yeah last year early last year around January of 2024 we had a batch that was doing that every time we shot them they would break so this could have been an accidental like mix up contamination with those or this new batch might be screwed up we don't know but it's no problem to replace them and I'll let you know if he wants to sell some extra ones but if you don't ever want to have to worry about that again I would definitely order those metal ones from Texoma and we have the long barrels we also have the Magnum 72 caliber Barrel kits as well with the Magnum cartridges so the regular Harpoon is 11 CC the new Magnum is 25 whole lot more power and really cool we also have the regular 72 caliber barrels as well you do not have to buy a new harpoon to use the Magnum cartridges but you do have to get the Magnum barrel kits or the gun will not shut

I'll test fire the other two inserts in the am.

As far as the stock cartridge 12 ga barrels, what lengths do you have? I'm shying away from the Magnum stuff because of the additional expense. The 12 ga barrels do come available in non-magnum, right?

Don't quote me on this but I believe they're 11 in Long they might be 16 I will have to measure them tomorrow when I'm at the office I'll let you know and no you don't have to use the Harpoon Magnum with the regular 72 caliber long barrel we have Magnum and we have regular the Magnum 72 caliber are 22 in Long so I believe that the 72 caliber long barrel regular harpoon you are 16 in let me make sure I'll measure them tomorrow and I'll let you know we also have a ahort barrel

My ideal solution here is to be able to learn to make my own shot-ammo. But since I don't have the magnum, are there smaller caliber shot barrels than 12 ga out there? Like maybe a shorty 20 ga? Shells that I could build from the wad up?

I know that's a deep rabbit hole but I'm a denizen of social security so pre-made rounds can't be the future.

I tested the other two bullet holders and they both shattered just like the first two.I'm not even a little bit accepting of a gun that explodes in my hand. I am angry at spending over a thousand dollars on this absolute junk.I want to unwrap this deal and return this dangerous air gun to you.It should work out of the box without exploding in my hand or any other weird quirks.. It has now been fired four times and has broken on all four shots.I want to return this defective item for a full refund please. I am afraid of exploding air guns. Please send me a call tag so I don't have to pay for return shipping. I've read your return policy. I hope that isn't going to be a problem. I didn't sign up for this. This is shameful.

There's nothing defective about the item you just don't know what you're doing like I said that's the best we can do you send it back to me and when I get it and everything is like it was when you got it I understand those parts are broke that's fine but when I get the gun back you will get 70% of your purchase back that is that is policy

According to what I'm reading, there should be a venting groove milled into the bottom of the cartridges to keep the plastic slug holders from disintegrating.I have cancelled your charge. You can appeal my dispute but I think VISA requires you to ship items that WORK. The status of your transaction is as follows... I have ordered two metal slug holders from Texoma. (I need four total) If they work, I will accept your offer to supply me with (2 additional) 50 cal slug holders and I'll unlock / reauthorize the charge.If however you still want to talk like a tough guy with me, I will box this defective gun up and wait for a call tag from you, period. In either case, we won't be doing business again after this. In the meantime, Here's your thread....

Well I am going to appeal it and it will get beat I've done this many times you're wrong about what you're saying them guns were tested before they left and they work just fine so you're doing something wrong and that's okay we offered to fix it you've had the gun almost 2 weeks so it is what it is

So all talks now are finished until this is finished with Visa until I get the charge back review in the mail and it will be longer than 2 weeks so I can't even help you no more at this point until that's resolved and after that the two weeks will pass and now you won't even have a chance to get the 70% back like I said I've done this a million times people try to get guns they don't know how to use they get pissed off and they try to accuse us of sending them faulty equipment when they just don't know how to use the gun and we offered to fix it we offered to even send you different ones but since you wanted to go that route well this is going to take about 2 weeks for them to deny your claim so now you're stuck with it for sure and we will still fix and honor whatever and send you new how can we support this person a bullet holders but that gun was tested before it left and it worked just fine you just don't know what you're doing so it is what it is have a good night

For future reference every air gun store in the world doesn't offer a refund I'm one of the few that will give a refund up to two weeks as long as it's in the same condition as it was when it left here but rest assured you have no ground to stand on you've had the product almost a week now you still have the product we've offered the fix any broken issues that you broke because it worked fine with us I've offered to go out of my way and help you get bolt holders from Texoma and paybfor them myself I even offered to give you the refund that I normally don't give anybody 70%, but rest assured you did all this in vain and now I will simply do warranty work but that is all wasn't nobody scamming you you're trying to scam us when someone's offering to fix your gun that's not being scammed we test every gun that goes out so the gun work just fine with us so obviously you're doing something wrong so anyways I'll talk to your bank and when all that is done I will get back to you I sent you the ammo holders they'll be shipped out this week and that's all we have to talk about buddy have a great evening I'm one of the best air gun dealers in the United States you can ask anybody go on YouTube and ask anybody and they'll tell you the same thing I go out of my way to help people but once you do a chargeback and then I have to fight that which is no problem cuz you still have the product and it's user error it wasn't nothing that we broke there wasn't nothing that came to you broke so anyways I'm not going to say anything else I suggest you don't message me back either and we will get this figured out and go from there have a great evening your boat holders will be in this week other than that there's nothing else to talk about have a great evening

I didnt read all of it, but if the vendor admits they know there was a "bad batch" of parts he should give you only 3 options. This does not appear to be a normal return or buyers remorse to justify a restocking fee. Normally I understand a small business needing to charge a fee. Personally I would not want to sell products I already know to be defective. Imo there is additional liability involved as a seller in this case, I would not want to ruin my reputation.

1. Replace parts that failed at no expense to the consumer, and would be nice to throw in something for the trouble. Pellets, or a shirt, or a coupon etc.

2. Offer an exchange at no expense to the consumer, and would be nice to throw in something for the trouble. Pellets, or a shirt, or a coupon etc.

I know nothing about this platform, so I have no idea regarding any possible contributory action on your part. I think that you should dispute the charge with your cc company and see where that leads. Regarding the vendor (and I have no experience with him), his tone in the communication sounds very defensive, which suggests that you are not his first dissatisfied customer. Good luck.
