I bought a AEA big bore 357

last week i bought a AEA big bore 357 standard with 4500 fill, heavy hammer spring and a power kit, I got to shoot it just to see what it was like, WOW!!!! I CAN SAY ITs NOT HYPE!!! It is every bit of the 300fpe they say it is!!! im very impressed.

Well 300 fpe is good for 357 but putting 4500psi into it to get those numbers is in my opinion a little too much for diminishing returns. That's alot of air to get those last 50 fpe. However if your willing to deal with the air I see no reason why you shouldn't be excited about it. It's cool that you can push the envelope when you have a compressor or something comparable and willing to spend the air to get that power.

that was just a first time out and i wanted to see what it was all about, I still need it sight it in and find the sweet spot. I have some mods in the works and i will be able to use less air and have more of a consistent usage of air with each shot and maybe gain some power. Thanks for your input. oh and i only had 4000 psi. Its just rated for 4500, i never in any rifle for that matter, go to full pressure.

Amazing to see the first posts some snarky comment about how it looks. Wtf? Next up will be if it “goes well” with other accessories. 

Dude sharing a pic of a new gun, fyi, is one of those scenarios where folks usually know to “not say anything if you don’t have anything nice to say”.

That gun should be a blast! Look forward to hearing about it. I have been shooting an hp 357 max and it is quite a lot of fun. Doesn’t match my shoes, jacket, hat and hairstyle, but I shoot it anyway lol



i will watch this thread - interested in any results you may have trying this out.

It is unfortunate that people get their panties in a wad over the simplest things that one man might have said to another 50 years ago standing in the field before going hunting.

"Damn John that thing looks like a fishing rod." "Well Billy Bob you wait till you see the bass I bring home this evening!" That's how real men handled simple jabs jests friendly pokes in the real world before they got addicted to their damn phones and their toys. Now these toys somehow have come to represent a very integrity and our honor. My daddy taught me you can't buy either one. Sticks and Stones children sticks and stones.

Now when we say something like that which is simply a joke which is not intended to piss someone off or to offend them to their very core we get a cacophony of whining and crying from from them and every other person who feels a need to be perpetually offended..

Grow up America it's all for fun. There's nobody bombing your village. Life is Good.

But it seems like inconsiderate behavior, I don’t know if this guy is new here or not but why not be welcoming and say “congrats on the new gun I hope you like it how do you feel about its overall length?” or something nice. You just have to drop in to say something negative and that’s it?


Chatting between friends of course no big deal at all we are all adults.



A seeming lack of common decency is what set me off, if it’s a joke then who cares and not worth a second thought

Our personal tastes, likes and dislikes, are just that. Personal. Just the same, things typed in jest, that folks would laugh together about in person, are oftentimes misinterpreted in such formats.

Congratulations on your new acquisition. From what I understand, it is due in part to the particular guns appearance, that you are able to garner the power and inherent accuracy. That, combined with the heavier spring assembly and power kit. Now the fun begins with feeding it slugs to see what she likes to “eat”.

It all stems from previous posts on other threads where the OP was spreading Missinformation and plain BS, and when he was asked to clarify he disappeared and started an other thread.



So there's more to it.
