That I didn't buy a compressor a long time ago. Guess I am just a cheap b*@#(&d! Got my Yong Heng a bit broken in and just filled a gun for the first time. Filled to 3,000 in no time, which equates to 150 strokes with a pump and along with it a near heart attack!! I will baby this sucker and hope it lasts a while. Hopefully someday we will have a portable air cooled compressor that will reliably last a while and not cost 2 grand. Now that I have my compressor I can start trying to decide what my next gun will be. Hmmmmmm..........

It really improves the whole hobby, doesn’t it. Lucky for me my first hand pump broke, so I bought a Spritech for $300 instead of dumping more money into hand pumping.

I was shooting my springers more than my pcp's just because I was dreading pumping up the guns again. Not any more!!

Just be sure to use high flashpoint oil in it regardless of what the manufacturer says. Over time a little oil can migrate to the second stage piston and detonate wiping out the top of the second stage brass piston and crushing the top of the primary piston. High flashpoint oil prevents detonation and makes the pump last as long as possible.

Not such a dummy, I'd say, since many of us followed the same path you did. Kind of a natural progression to start small then add on as interest in the hobby takes hold. Sometimes, and I hate to admit this, I get just as much a kick out of filling guns with my compressor as I do shooting them. Just goes to show how much I dreaded that hand pump workout.
