@L.Leon It wasn’t new, but everything is still green and I was mostly hunting with my head up listening and watching them eat. When they moved a lot of the time I moved. I was circling trees and following some squirrels with my eyes toward the sky. In the process I got turned around, but my biggest problem is I forgot my sack and lanyard so I wasn’t carrying the dead ones as I moved around. I placed the carcasses on the ground by a distinct landmark and marked the spot with a glove. I had trouble finding that landmark again after following a couple more squirrels. That took up a significant amount of time. And I couldn’t stay in the woods as Iong as I wanted because I had to prepare for work.
