I am just drawing a brain fart, man

Good morning, all. This past week my son decided to want to target shoot with me. It was at first a frustrating moment, which ended up well. My son really loves that Wildcat I recently got. My son has always been a natural when it came to shooting. He can shoot easily with both eyes believe it or not. At 10 years old I dared him to hit a small hand stress ball with a Beeman R10, and the ball was hanging off string on a tree about 25 yards away. He hit it, and I triple dog dared him to hit it while swinging, which he easily did.

Anyway, he’s never been into the technical part of things, like adjusting turrets for sight in. I’ve always done that for him. I thought I had the concept down, and that’s where my brain fart is at right now. I’m trying to re sight his Benjamin Nitro Piston rifle, and I can’t remember the sequence:

If aiming for the bullseye and the shot ends up say, 5” to the right, is it aim at the shot and drag the cross hairs to the bulls, or aim at the bulls and drag the crosshair to the shot? For some reason I drew a blank, as I just wonderfully did this with my wildcat and had it sighted in in two shots, and for some reason a week later I can’t remember the sequence!!

Thanks, all.

Here is a 4 pack cap cover for a certain beer, that I painted the centers with a yellow paint pen. My son drilled them out, one by one, shifting eyes back and forth with each shot.
