Hy score 801/D25

I talked to a friend. He told me where the date stamp on this gun was. Checked the entire gun with my optivisors there is no date markings. But from the looks of the rear sight I think it might be a older model???

Removed the surface rust and will refinish the metal at a later date.
The barrel is in excellent condition. Cleaned no pitting. Just finished installing a leather seal I made. The chamber and piston was surprisingly clean. Ran some fine steal wool on my flex shaft into the chamber no rust flashlight showed nice and shiny.

Put it back together. The trigger needs some work but will do it later. Since I will be tearing it apart again soon.

Hopefully have located the parts I need. Will know next week when my package arrives. End cap and a couple set screws.

Still need barrel pivot bolt and stock screws

I am finally finished restoring my Hy Score 801. It turned out good. What do you think. There is something special about taking a gun from the graveyard and giving it new life. The gun cocks buttery smooth and the trigger has a very light pull. there is hardly any recoil, due to it being a low power youth Springer. , Useing Crossman premier pellets. These averaged 417 f.p.s. and ranged from 414 to 422. Will be shooting it to test accuracy soon.
