Other Hy-SCore 800 refurb

Hello All,

New to the forum and I purchased a Hy-Score 800 that needs some TLC. I've stripped the gun down and started cleaning.
I've run across an issue. The red thread locker (part # 849 - Cylinder cover lock) has deteriorated and I was wondering what others have used in its place.

that is a leather seal and from the look of it dry as a bone and in very nice condition
but these pistols are not in my wheelhouse
