I've shot around 350 pellets through a brand new 97K. The stock screws constantly need monitoring and tightening. After my last session, I noticed the trigger guard screws were waaay loose. So I removed the stock to take a look at what's going on.
I found that the C-shaped stamped steel piece that both the forend stock screws thread into is loose. Is this piece of metal supposed to be loose? (see image)
I also found that the standoff that the larger trigger guard screw threads into was loose (ok, I'll tighten it).
But I'm afraid to crank on any of the stock's screws too much, as they will crush the wood. (I found screw cups from a couple sources, and a few threads where people made their own. I also found that someone made cups for both the trigger guard screws too.) This is the ultimate solution, IMO. Why they don't come this way from Weihrauch is just wrong. I could program these, and run off a small handful on a CNC machine, rather quickly....IF I still worked in manufacturing. Does anyone know who makes a complete set of cups, for all four screws? Or who would be willing to, if I supplied dimensions and/or a drawing?
