I have a HW97 in route to me but I am not sure on what mounts to get for it. Which ones are typically good for it? 30 mm scope will go on it. I think a one piece would be better i think.

I use the UTG dovetail to picatinny adapters that snap into the base of any picatinny ring. I used a socket head screw(3mm I think) instead of the supplied set screw for the recoil pin.

Places selling this mount for more than $30 BTW. Worth buying has a LIFETIME WARRANTY. I WOULD BUY A LOT TO MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE YOU CAN TRIPLE YOUR MONEY SELLING IT TO RICH IDIOTS ON EBAY.

I used 2 piece Hawke tactical medium 30 mm rings to mount a Hawke Compact 4-16 x 44 mm IR, SF, scope on my HW95L. Excellent combo and a tack driver.

You can buy things other places besides Amazon ya know.....
I like the BKL one piece mounts myself. Self centering, no moving or separate parts.
But with a tuned 97 and a somewhat lightweight scope, the two piece double strap BKLs are fine as well and don't move.
For cheap and easy, the UTG mounts are hard to beat for $12 or so.

I use Amazon because of rhe 2 day shipping. The gun should be here Monday or Tuesday so I can get the mounts the same day. With other retailers it might be alot more days in transit.

I use the RWS lockdown mount with droop compensation on all of my 97s. Work perfectly at a very modest price.

I ordered the Sportsmatch Dampa mount for my scope on my 97. The scope came today, the mount should come Monday depending on how much snow we get.
