a good barrel cleaning and one shot into the ground to test and three or four sighters my first five shot group with this HW97 .020 cal, even with the trigger needing adjusting in the worst way it printed a sub dime group off my knee at 25ys out of the box, I haven't shot a spring gun much in the last couple of years so I just treated it like a PCP and put the crosshairs on aim point and it worked! Group was shot with H&N 13.58s. I suspected it had a good barrel by the way it "squealed" when I pulled the wet patches through it, very smooth feel. I've noticed a lot of "chatter" lately on AGN concerning the HW97, I understand why now...I suspect much better to come!

Good shooting. I’ve been thinking about a .20 a lot lately. It’s seems like every .20 Weihrauch I’ve ever read about was a shooter.

Well that is true. I've had .20s in Theoben Eliminator (no more) and today they are in HW97K-T, HW50S (2), HW80, HW 98, and D54.

The .22s in these versions mostly copy them but in others I find the .20 to be much much better than either .177 or .22 depending upon the range and amount of power you need to dump the energy there.

In my experience all .20 rifled pellet barrels shoot the pellets out straighter and truer than .177 or .22.

Now;

The .25 is another matter entirely for all to endeavor into with the rifles of their choice and then report what they found!

Last group first full test day, five shots@ 25y off my knee, this gun seems to prefer the H&N Barracuda 13.58's a pellet that my Huntsman and Rapid don't shoot well, I ran about 50 pellets through it adjusting the trigger as I tested...I guess you never forget how to shoot a springer even if it's been a couple years...and I didn't have to worry about running out of air today!
