HW/Weihrauch HW77K: Does Anyone Hunt or Pest With One?

Which caliber? Do you use the stock irons or swap out the front? What do you shoot with it? The shorter length makes it quite handy, and they’re such smooth shooters.

I’ve acquired a small piston .177 and a recent .25 but the loading mechanics have been hard to adopt after so many years with break barrels. Mostly just for ground squirrels and tree rats inside 30 yards.

I did ... birds ... scoped. It was .22 and 30 yards typically. However, I'm no longer into springers. Regardless, HW nails it IMHO and has such a wide variety of great springer models to choose from.

Not a HW77 but HW97 in .177 - taken several Starlings and chipmunks.

You got two 77Ks? A 25mm 177 is worth some money if you're not in love with it.

Either will work for that. The 177 will be easier to land kits because that gun in 25 is a mortar.

HW 77 long not K in ,22 , about 11 FPE , deadly on Squirrels , i do not shoot birds ( here they are not pests .)

It should be. The 77 is a much smaller power plant. The Hw80 has a 30mm piston. The 77 has a 26mm. The strokes are nearly the same at 80 and 81mm respectively.
