HW77/97 Stock Compatability ?

 I have done due diligence research on this subject & have mostly just not gotten a clear answer.

IF anyone here knows for sure and can answer this: Are stocks interchangeable between these 2 models? Can I fit, for example, a synthetic thumbhole 97K stock on a 77K? Etc?

Bear in mind the older HW77s had a smaller 25mm diameter compression tube, so if the 77 is an old one there might be a problem.

One popular swap was to buy the hw77 with the forest laminate stock and swap out the action with an hw97. Alittle different than the more common blue laminate and a very attractive gun to boot but proves the point that the stocks/actions are interchangeable.

there is no issue, but if there were any difference it would only be 1/2mm side to side or top to bottom and virtually unnoticeable from a 26mm vs 25mm tube

Yeah, funny you should say that. Gives you one guess why I was asking......
