HW77 25 yards

It's 177 cal. All groups are around 10 shots at 25 yards with Jsb 8.4 grain pellets.

Great shooting 10 shoots is alot for springer in such a small hole.

Way to go Blackdiesel. Is the spring in your Hw77 fac rated and if so at what speed do you think it would be pushing those lite pellets down range?

Thanks all - I just got the gun a couple of days ago and after zeroing the scope I tried a few different pellets to see which works best. After I got good results with the Jsb 8.4 I shot these groups. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to check chrony numbers and stuff.

It's the full power version but I haven't shot it over the chrony yet. Maybe this weekend I will have a chance. I just got it and wanted to check how well it shot.

How were you shooting? Rested front and rear? Just front? Rested on hand or right on the rest?


It’s been a while since I have been able to achieve groups like that from my springers. I probably can’t do that with a pcp! Ha ha!


What style stock do you have on your 77? I have the old style stock on mine.

Thanks man. I have the new style stock. I always shoot standing and resting on a Caldwell Magnum Fieldpod. I don't use the artillery hold, but just try different hold pressures until I see that I'm getting good groups.

I'd say that rifle is a tack driver ! The 8.4 gr 4.53mm head JSB's are the favorite of my RWS 34 as well.
