Question for those who use HW35E's with a scope: Is the comb really too low for comfortable scope use?

"Comfortable" is kind of an arbitrary unit of measure and everyone's facial features are different. I find the firm cheek weld afforded using factory sights or a rear diopter sight to be most comfortable. I can also easily shoot a 35 using a scope in medium rings with about the same amount of cheek contact as with open sights just with not as firm of contact. I cannot comfortably shoot a 35 with high scope rings. If you have experience shooting a scoped HW like an HW 80/85/95 a better question to ask might be the difference in height in inches at the comb between the two and draw your own conclusion from that.

Mine is scoped and works absolutely fine. Your head/body shape is going to be the only thing to determine of it works really well for you or not though

The 35 stock configuration lends itself best for a diopter. If one finds the stock a bit low with the scope then this cheek riser is a simple fix.

Get a 32mm objective and use the lowest rings you can. You'll have to shim the scope to accommodate the droop 35's have.

I am considering buying a .177 springer for backyard plinking and some informal silhouette. It would be scoped. No need for a lot of power. The 35E was one option. There sure are a lot of opinions on - and experience with - springers on this forum which is quite useful.

For backyard plinking and shorter range target practice, I agree on the 30. One and done the HW30 in 177 caliber is the ticket!
