HW35e stock finish

I did a search, but not anything of value came up, so I thought I would post here, sorry if it is in the wrong section. I love my new HW35e, but want to fill the pores on the stock and give it a satin sheen. I like the color so I do not want to do a complete refinish. Is there a good wax or some other product you may have used for this? I have refinished stocks with Tru-Oil, and have been happy with the results, but don't think that is the proper product to use in this case. Any help is truly appreciated! Thanks

If you are familiar with the Tru-Oil, I would stick with it. It is great for filling pores. If the finish is to glossy you can easily flatten it to the desired level with 0000 steel wool or white scuff pad. Alternately you can use dewaxed shellac and again layer to suit and dull as desired.

This is my go to stock finish. Normally apply to 10-12 coats and it builds to a beautiful satin finish and fills pores as it builds.
