HW35e and Williams reciever sight

Going to order a 35e, and want to mount a Williams fp tk sight. I have read some have to use the FP-AG-TK, and some have to use the FP-GR-TK. I would like to buy the correct sight the first time around, which one works for you? High line of sight, or low line of sight, I am so confused?!

I would get the high version for use with the front globe. The long barrel of the 35E will make any barrel droop more pronounced as well, and if it has any the extra height adjustment will be handy. 

I've had the high versions and they have always worked fine on my guns.

Thanks for that, barrel droop is something to consider, you never know what your going to get till you open the box and pull the gun out!

Yeah that's the way it is unfortunately. I bend the barrels on mine if they are excessively droopy, or file the breech if the lockup isn't right and causing it. It can be fixed. 

I've really been wanting an HW35E lately. If you order a new one send me a pic. Would be nice to see what kinda wood they are putting on them these days. I bet it will be a real nice gun.

I haven't decided where to order from, Krale or AOA. Almost 100 bucks cheaper from Krale, and they have super fast shipping I hear, but with 1 year warranty and AOA being a USA company I am sure if there is a problem it would be much easier to have taken care of. I wonder if AOA would hand select for a premium stock, that is something I would have to call and talk to them about.

If you order anything from AoA definitely call em. They have been pretty helpful last couple times I've ordered from them. Id certainly ask em to pick one out. Can't hurt

The "high sight line" Williams is almost always the way to go for any barrel-cocker. 

FWIW, I love using match sights. A vintage Anschutz sight will fit perfectly, mounts more easily and securely than the Williams, opens up a world of adjustable eyepieces and other cool accessories, and a good used one is not that much pricier than a new Williams. And they look kinda cool, LOL...

Here's some pics that might help: current 35E, with Anschutz 6702, early R7 with transverse dovetail requiring Lyman 17AEU and thus an FP GR sight...AFAIK, all others use FP AG?

Hey thumper--I just thought I would let you know that I contacted AOA via email, and they told me to just call them when I order, and they will put a note on my paperwork to pick out the best one they have, I think that alone is worth the extra cost, it will be a gun I will have till I either die, or just too old to hold a rifle.
