So looks like my HW 30s needs this situation addressed , can y’all recommend some intructional videos before I start on this? Thanks in advance

I used the cocking arm insert from Air Rifle Headquarters on mine. Problem solved.
Don’t know of a video, but disassembly wasn’t hard. Get a spring compressor, makes reassembly a lot easier.

My first thought is to make sure the bottom of the pivoted slider is actually flat. Lap it with 400 paper on a flat surface to take down high spots, then polish. Then do the same with the cylinder surface.
I would probably then experiment with a thin brass or stainless steel shim between the two parts. See if a .005" shim allows proper movement of the parts. If it has no adverse effect, then I would attach it to the underside of the slider. (somehow!)
The HW90 has a similar design, but incorporates a thin plastic shim under the slider.
Now I'm going to have to look at MY HW30. Grrrr.

Looks like they're out of it, and there's no picture. But I get the drift. It's a plastic piece that fits into the cocking arm itself. The arm is U shaped channel. They say it's suitable for HW30/50. It makes you wonder why Weihrauch doesn't install it at the factory.
Actually, you could make your own. I have some teflon sheet. I'll have to think about that.

I've had a couple HW30 rifles with this affliction and it's a very simple fix.
You will have to disassemble the rifle a little bit (I'm sure there are tutorials on line), and then polish the surfaces in contact with one another that are creating the problem. I use a file to eliminate roughness (gently, you don't want to significantly alter dimensions of the offending pieces) and then put a fine polish on opposing parts with appropriate abrasives. I usually try to go down to about 400 grit.
Next, put moly grease on the same surfaces you polished.
After reassembly you'll be surprised at how smooth the gun will cock after this very minor intervention.
