HW30S .25?

In reality, yea very doable as i have something similar. Put a .25 cal barrel into a PP700 pistol a few years ago.
Use it primarily as a small "Very Close" critter blaster & Spider exploder w/o a pellet

I have the 77, 80, 90 and 97 all in .25. The 77 and 97 hasn’t got the punch but are very accurate. You can watch the looping especially at nite under lites.m
Two winters ago I had a target 70 yds out on the lake backed on 3/4 plywood.
When the .177 hit it, it literally bounced off target and landed on top of snow. The .25 blasted right through the plywood.
My eyes are so bad I saw 35e.
I have the 30 in .22. I compare to a pea shooter. Been trying to get a R7 in .22 for a year, only to find recently, N/A.
I wouldn’t use the 30 .22 for hunting, maybe birds.
I don’t think I would buy a 30 in .25. Crow
I would certainly think twice.

I'm calling shenanigans sir. We've all seen your collection and I don't think you would be able to stop yourself from buying one if you were given the opportunity.

The HW50S in .22 is what you want. 14 gr tuned to 650 fps, has the same trajectory as the the HW30S but hits like a freight train. The .177 HW30S will go through the can at 650. The .22 usually dumps all the energy and makes a huge dent.
Nope. Already have a .22 50S and I do love it. Great gun. I'm planning on a .22 30S at some point but the stars just haven't aligned on that one quite yet. Still, if a limited run of .25 30S hit the market I'd be on it in a heartbeat. Seems like I am definitely one of the very few though so I guess my hopes and dreams will remain dreams forever.

I have to go with Motorhead; .25 in any of the Snowpeak branded pistols, plus you can put a stock on it and have a short carbine.very easy to hand pump, plus it swings great.
Try something different and you may like it.
PCPs really don't do anything for me unfortunately. In springer form it would at least it have a little life to it.

I'm out!
I own three 177 Hw30s and I've tuned lots more. I've tuned one Hw30 and two Hw50s in 22. One of the 50s was mine and while it was great fun at short range with peeps. I never got the hang of the hold over to make it reliably work much past 35 yards. I sold it to a forum member and he loves it.

A 22 Hw30 makes about three to four fpe less than the 50 and is lucky to touch 500 fps with lead pellets. That's 100+ fps slower than the 22 Hw50 I couldn't get the hang of.

I need 700 fps or more to stay near the trajectory of my other air rifles and appease my lousy range estimation and hold over skills. Ymmv

To each their own.

No you're missing the point! The range limitations are a non issue. Its basically a sub 15yd gun. Sure you can shoot it further but its a purpose built maus getter. Realistically I would imagine it would be good for 400fps with JSB 25.39gr. Its sole purpose would be to pound vermin up close

R-7 in .20 and never look back.

Ok so you aren't wrong and I do like where your head is at but its not quite what I'm going for. I want a borderline (but not completely) useless thumper. I'm going to make it my life goal to have a .25 30S even if I have to do it myself. I cannot imagine it not being stupidly fun. The Hatsan 135 in 30 is basically the same concept but polar opposite of what I'm thinking fun wise.

Lother Walther has a couple of differant .25 barrels starting at 132.00 and should be no issue for someone on here to machine it and install it for you.

I have every intention of doing it myself but I'll need a spare 30S breech/barrel assembly first. I dont think I can get the block separately but I'm going to try. Worse case I'll just try to grab a used assembly from the classifieds and go from there

The amount of people in this thread that are just recommending what they like and missing the point.

I totally understand what you're talking about. A .25 30S would be like launching mortars and would be so fun!

Exactly. Pull the trigger and a giant pellet lobs so slowly down range that you can actually watch the wind push it around. It won't be as useful as a more appropriately sized pellet but what it lacks in usefulness it will more than make up for in giggles. One great group at 50yds will make it all worthwhile.
