Hw110 laminate carbine

Really like the HW grey laminate stocks. I think you made the right choice even though I don’t own the 110 but rather twin 100’ s . I believe for the most part they are very close in design. You didn’t mention what caliber you chose. Or what scope you plan on using. I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of it when it in your hands. Congratulations on the new rifle.

I have the HW100 carbine with the thumbhole walnut stock and it’s a great gun. I did upgrade the air cylinder with one made from titanium and a new regulator to get more shots.

I have two HW100 laminate carbines which are among my favorites. Since I believe they share a number of design features, I'm sure you will enjoy your HW110. I would have two areas of question, the mag system, and the trigger, both of which are, IMO, darn near perfect in the 100. Based on pictures, the 110 mag inserts into a hole, rather than an open slot in the 100. And the 100 magazine is advanced by a steel gear, very robust. But, given German production in general, and Weihrauch in particular, I'm sure quality will be maintained at a high level.

I own a 110ST .177 and it is a fine pcp pellet rifle in my opinion. When I saw the laminate version I had visions of "upgrade" dancing about in my head momentarily .... but I can't really justify that.

To expand on elh0102 comment about the mag insertion, the 110 receiver is also slotted , the main difference that I can notice of the 100 is the mag release button as compared to the 110 upward motion activated mag release lever. THIS, in my opinion is my only knock against the 110 rifle, for me..anyway, it is a two handed somewhat awkward operation to change mags. I also recall the 110 is slightly heavier than the 100 likely due to the composite look wood coated stock and composite receiver, the rifle is-seems "heftier" in hand, again....for me, compared to my FX Dreamline Classic.

Good luck and good shooting with your new laminate carbine.

Thanks guys. Cant wait to get it! I know alot of people are against the polymer design, but I like it. I machine a ton of different polymers daily so for me it hits home and think its pretty cool. However, not the best idea on the rail but it is, just a 177 airgun so Im not worried. The one piece machined valve housing on the end of the cylinder is what had me sold! Its pretty trick!

Very nice choice, and she wears beautiful clothing!

The HW110 was my first high end air rifle, and was very accurate. As a newbie, I just couldn't believe how accurate an air rifle could shoot!

Never had a single problem with the 'ballistic polymer' block, as so many of the armchair critics said would occur. Design and build quality on these guns is excellent.

supposedly they use the same ballistic polymer glock uses which is VERY hard, if there is any worry at all with the rails just get 1 piece mount that has large contact surface areas. I prefer 1 piece mount with a good base regardless anyways.

In my neighborhood where we hunt ground squirrels, we have 3 shooters plus me. One has a Steyr H5 scout and I have the regular H5, the other two have the 110st’s. Great guns. I find the black stock very ergonomic and comfortable. The no thumb hole makes for quick 2nd shots. My friend did blow an oring on the square port underneath. Even then it functioned, just lost a little velocity. I would get the regular length in a heartbeat if I wasn’t so in love with my Steyr.
