I am waiting delivery of a new Weihrauch HW100 rifle. I anticipate that, as with many new rifles, the trigger adjustment might need a slight tweaking. The manual I have seen online is not very helpful. It appears the front screw is the primary weight. The rear screw, if I interpret correctly may be first stage travel. I think there are other adjustments available, but are not described, such as second stage sear engagement. I anticipate this may be self-evident once I get the action out of the stock and can see the trigger group. If anyone can provide a source of more detailed information, either here or by PM, it would be appreciated.

They generally come set up very nicely from factory. I did however had to set my current one (I've had three) up after picking it up pre owned, with the trigger adjustment completely buggered by the previous owner.

I am sitting at work and can't remember the location of everything but I will say it's design is fantastic and as soon as you see it it'll be quite clear what does what and how to adjust it to your preferences. Probably the only thing you may miss is the grub screw that lies under the actual trigger blade - loosen up and slider the trigger forward or back to get to that one. If I remember right it adjusts first stage travel.

The entire trigger group comes off the gun with two screws and can be cocked and 'fired' independent of the gun, so adjustment is made much easier and you'll be able to ensure everything is spot on prior to putting it back on 👍🏻

They really are among the absolute best triggers on anything.

The design and engineering on these guns never ceases to amaze me. Apart from shot count and maybe overall weight/length of the full length one, they are just about the perfect airgun. Anyway if you do end up needing any help when you get your gun drop me a PM and I'll open up my gun to refresh my memory 👍🏻

It is a .22, carbine version, laminate stock with adjustable cheek piece, which was a priority for me. Although all my rifles see some casual target use, it will primarily be a pesting and hunting rifle, so the limited shot count is not an issue. And yes, FX triggers are odd things, although mine works okay. I've had Anschutz and Steyr match triggers, and although a bit complex, they work great, and are easy to adjust and service. I expect the Weihrauch will be similar, although probably heavier in release.

I've never owned a rifle that needed 1,000 break in shots. Sorry, but that's crazy. If it's not shooting after 100 shots, it won't find a home here.

Neither did I until I got a Krale 12fpe HW110 and believe me I have my share of HW guns including 2 of the bullpups and 2 pistol HW44s. The 22 needed 1000+ shots before it could get 21-22 shots. Before that I thought something was seriously wrong with it at only 13- 14 shots. My 12fpe 110 from Krale out of the box didn't get the 120-130 shots it gets now it was like 80-100 not a reliable determined amount of shots. Accuracy was about just under an inch 7/8" avg at 50 in windless conditions took a tin (500) to get it down to 5/8" and seems to be still improving the more it's shot but still not 1/2" consistently. My 2 100 bullpups one shoots perfect accuracy wise straight out of the box 3/8" or better but shot count is lower than it should be while the other so far is just so so average 5/8" for now but I haven't put that many rounds in that one yet and that one has way less shots than claimed. One common thing is all the triggers were great straight out of their boxes. YO

With the action out of the stock you'll only need about 3/4" of room to unscrew the airtube. With the barrel band all in the way it may be interesting though since you can't slide it off the muzzle. That sucks. If have to get that moderator off first things first. That would drive me nuts.

And I also suspect that you will be impressed with the trigger. Better than anything I've ever used, and I've had a bunch. Can't remember the adjustments right off, I haven't touched my trigger in about a decade. But with the action out of the stock, the trigger pack is wide open and you can watch it work to make adjustments easy.

On a related issue, I have a question regarding the barrel removal on the "K", or carbine model. Since the air cylinder has to be unscrewed to remove the barrel, is there room to unscrew the cylinder with the moderator in place? The space looks very tight, and the moderator will be glued.

I can remove mine easily enough without removing the silencer. And mine is a full length gun fitted with a carbine barrel. If you do happen to have trouble take the gun out of the stock and slide the barrel band back towards the action along the barrel - that will give you the wiggle room you need.

Regarding the 1000 shot break in story - every HW100 I've had apart from one a 'tuner' had butchered, shot perfectly from shot number one.
