HW100 carbine trial.

So I was able to buy a lightly used HW100 thumbhole in walnut. After a few weeks I can give a fairly informal thumbs up.
It is still at the factory settings, and I did not do a chrono test. I have a AA400 and it is regulated and set to 890 FPS, and the HW100 hits the steel spinners with the same authority. So i guess the same approximate FPE.
I have a huge Bauer compressor and a big SCBA, so shot count is not too important, but I would like to turn down the speed to 750 or so. Hopefully I can get some time to fiddle with it. But for now it is good enough. I shot 4 mags, and I am still regulated. That is a "session" for me.
I don't know if guns have a feel, but the HW100 feels like a solid built rifle to me, no frills. It just feels solid, reliable and competent.
Anyway I had a ton of premium rifles, and the HW100 is near the top.

that is a good shot count. I have the small tank and waiting on a rifle size from AOA that is supposed to be in next month.
Since tuning my rifle down to 11 fpe, I have gained new respect for the traditional, lower powered rifles, which was their original design criteria. Shot count goes way up, and noise way down.
