What kit does everyone recommend for a 80’s model hw 77 , 177 cal for hunting squirrels

I have more than twenty springers in my vault - all Vortek tuned. Plus have done several tubes for others - always repowering with Vortek. Tom is the best.

ARH for me. I've actually used both, and the ARH kits are better quality springs and cock easier since they leave room for a larger OD spring without having the second external guide.
The Vortek kits tend to be a little higher powered and harsher shooting. The ARH kits are more on the conservative side of things.
Especially since you are using the 80s era HW77, which has the smaller 25mm piston, I'd want to stay on the conservative side for power and the ARH kit will be just right for that.

Another ARH guy here,JM is also a very well known air gun expert and has been around for many decades.
I also use both tune kits,they are different in their firing cycle...both do the job great and I am sure either one will fit the bill.

Thank you for the replies, appreciate your recommendations now I need to decide what kit. Currently waiting on a very nice gentleman to decide when he wants to ship it, blueing is a little rough and the ball and spring are missing from the cocking lever. There are some older post concerning this matter but I’m always happy to learn more about this fix. You members are such a big help answering questions.

I prefer the shot cycle of the ARH kits, but have also has good outcomes with Vortek kits.
