WOULD A HW 50S WORK FOR HUNTTING BUBBYS AND FIELD TARGET SHOOTING ? IF NEW SHOULD I PUT IN A NEW SPRING KIT IN IT OR WAIT?
What benefits did you find by adding the TBT kit? I recently bought an HW50 .177 with the idea in mind to put in a TBT kit. My goal is to actually drop the power to about 10 fpe and end up with a slightly bigger, heavier magnum version of an HW30. I already have an HW30 that I really like so this would just be a fun project. Thanks,Also, I put a TBT kit in mine, but it’s not an absolute necessity.
It’s a bit quieter, I don’t have the skills or experience to say much beyond that. If I hold the gun consistently I can achieve same hole groups at 25 yards. However, I am not skilled or calm enough to keep it up.What benefits did you find by adding the TBT kit? I recently bought an HW50 .177 with the idea in mind to put in a TBT kit. Weihrauch springs don't last long under the best circumstances. They're brittle. They are like a light bulb. They're run hard right to the very end and then they break. It's not uncommon to find them in three pieces because the first break isn't always noticeable. No need for a new spring , but probably a tighter spring guide to eliminate the twang
Mine did
I guess a all around utility . A kinda do all.At first a did not like the HW50,it was not good, after I put a AGH tune kit it did what it should do.I believe the HW95 is a way better hunter springer.
The 97 is great, but heavy, the 95 or BeemanR9 is the way to go....
