The HW30 is a fantastic air rifle. Mine really helped me stay sane during the lockdown last year. I shot it almost every day in my backyard. It is a perfect rifle for short/medium distance plinking. Mine is in .177 and I put a Williams aperture rear sight on it. I mostly shoot it at about 15 yards in my little backyard. It’s low power and low noise are very neighborhood friendly. I bought several sets of the little steel silhouettes from Walmart and made up a shooting box in my yard to contain the lead fragments and keep any stray pellets from escaping. Knocking over those little rams, pigs, turkeys and chickens provided me with plenty of entertainment while the world was shut down. You really can’t go wrong with an HW30 in your arsenal.
Nice setup. I have something similar but I use a CO2 pistol at 10 yds indoors. I found that Rust-oleum Sunburst Yellow is a good match for repainting the metal silhouette targets.
I also have an HW 30s in .177 and it is a delight to shoot. It has excellent accuracy and not too much power for short range shooting.
