HW/Weihrauch HW 100 S

The older pre 2006 did have some .22 barrel issue which have long been sorted out. I currently own three. I’ve had more than a dozen go through my hands in the last ten years.
The only real negative is the weight of the steel cylinder. And that only comes into play on long walks. Other than that they are bulletproof. All kinds of aftermarket support and they do make decent power. They are a pellet gun. Not a slug gun, due to the relatively small plenum. These rifles were designed as 12fpe but are capable of over 40 with the long barrel. The magazine and advance is the best in the business. No moving parts in the mags. There’s also the anti double feed . I prefer the .177 shooting at about 20fpe but am currently building a .20 cal because I just can’t find one up here in Canada. Not that there’s anything wrong with my .22 shooting the 18.1 JSB’s . I tune them all to shoot their preferred pellets between 800 and 880 fps. I’m also a big fan of the Ratworks aluminum air cylinders. If you do decide to purchase, I’d be looking for the shrouded version, much quieter than the open barrel. I also much prefer the carbine length barrels at 410mm rather than the 600mm rifles.

Owners or past owners of HW 100 S would you post the pros and cons of this rifle?
Thinking of getting one in .22 so doing some research!
Thanks!
I just got one from AoA 3 months ago and it’s absolutely the most accurate gun I’ve ever owned. It always holds zero from day to day and is not pellet finicky. Magazine is easy to load and easy to insert into the gun. I have an FX Royle500 and the magazine is tricker to load and it’s a little fiddlily to insert into the gun. The only problem I’ve had with the 100 is the pin that the cocking lever hinges on keeps creeping out and I solved that by putting the scope ring right over the pin. You won’t be disappointed with this gun.
