Hunting with the FX Maverick .22 Compact

Finished up at one of my old permissions and then went to a new permission.

Lots of pigeons, sparrows and starlings. Using my FX Maverick Compact in .22

Shooting JSB 18.1 grains at 900 fps. Gun is topped with a PARD NV008.

Question for you? When shooting inside the barn do you have concerns of punching through the roof or walls?

check your local regulations on PARD especially if you own firearms also. I know in CA they aren’t too legal but more and more states are also following suit.

Yep. For inside the barn I usually shoot my FX Dreamline in .177 at 750 fps. If shooting the .22, then I try to make sure it is either a long shot or that there is a steel or wood stop behind the bird. I think I have had 2 go thru the sides so far in all my shots.

Just took mine out the other day for pigeons and groundhogs. Got 9 pigeons and 2 groundhogs plus a bunch of other pest birds. Wish I could post pics on agn it was a good hunt. Well done on the video.
