Hunting Pistols

Going to be hard to find a PCP that can beat a Ruger MKIV. What kind of ammo are you shooting? A subsonic or short .22 would be best. A good backstop is a must. I put cat food at the base of a big tree for skunk dispatch. Maybe a Quackenbush? I bet they are load as hell!

I’d pick up a HW44 in .22 caliber. Quite powerful and also very accurate.
And very quiet too.
You will get two 10 shot magazines at full power.
It’s on the low end of power for raccoons in my opinion, but if you can hit a dime at 20 yards it’ll work, providing the shot is accurate to the brain.
There’s a rail on the bottom that you can attach lasers or lights to.
They are great pistols in my opinion, lightweight and powerful, and best of all really accurate.
I found my .22 on the forum here for a little over $700 a great deal I thought and it’s still been flawless ever since.
There’s even a couple after market stocks that make the pistol a deadly little carbine.

The HW44 is a very nice gun but at 15-20fpe it is kinda of pushing the bare minimum for raccoons. It will HAVE to be a headshot (side if head preferably) within 30yds or so. The closer the better.

I have a Benjamin Prod 22 adjusted to shoot JSB 15.9 around 720fps for 3 mags 24 shots quite accurate at 20 yards when I do my part and it loves the Hades 15.4gr pellets also.

Niisch! What make/model? I'm relatively new to the PCP game and I'm looking for a good Coon pistol 22 or bigger. I'd like to go with a 25 but seems like 22 Is more plentiful.

The original Marauder Pistol model is BP2220 in 22cal 8 shot mag and a 12" barrel easy to find many posts on tuning and accessories you can buy for it.

I can get 4 mags easy I only fill to 2700psi
