Hunter uses atlatl

I thought this was very interesting. Even though its not airgun related, this still shows other hunters out there are using other means of taking game besides powder burners. Most hunters still think airguns are just toys but they fail to think for most of human history, humans have been hunting with spears and bow and arrow.

Very nice buck! Will have to see a video on how that works.

They're pretty cool because you get the size of a spear, the aim of an arrow, and a range that's somewhere in between the two. You make a bigger hole with a heavier projectile so it does more damage. The catch is that you have to be closer to do it and it's harder to be sneaky about the throw.

I love atlatl's! They're easy to even make. the darts are a bit harder though. With enough practice anyone can become pretty good with them. too bad it's not legal here in MD. I'd give it a shot!
