Tuning Huma Slug Probe

I've changed out my pellet probe for a Huma pin probe on my Maverick .30 and it's sticking out a bit, blocking the mag from being inserted. This is a non adjustable probe and the rod it attaches to is all the way back. Suggestions?

 I modified mine.. I adjusted the probe holder to be flush at the face of the block when closed.. I cocked it and marked the pin at the face of the block.. Put it in my drill press and used a file and sand paper to finish..
