I am wondering if a self-installation of a Huma Regulator in a new Wildcat 2 will affect the warranty? Any information will be appreciated.

I have a couple of FX Wildcats that indeed do have self installed HUMAS and I had ASSUMED MY WARRANTIES ARE NO LONGER VALID SINCE THEY ARE NOT A FACTORY REPLACEMENT OEM PART.

I have not asked them and I certainly can but I thought surely such a common installation would be common knowledge among the people here.

I think that it depends on the claim. If the fault or defect is not attributed to the aftermarket part or incorrect fitting of that part, the warranty should stand. That is how our consumer laws (Australian) translate. Yours may differ but this is pretty standard.

I don't think the bright line is whether it is an OEM part or not, ie-does that include a Wiki gauge? Not likely. Also, we know that warranties often stay in force when other than OEM parts are added or converted as in automobile warranties. Indeed, it will often be up to the individual companies. Hence, my question.
Obviously, the non-OEM part is not warranted but it is a legitimate question as to whether the entire warranty is tossed in the trash can-which speaks to the quality of that warranty.
Eaglebeak-your position seems to make the most sense and is often the case with automobile aftermarket (and often improved parts.) Left up to the person deciding the specific claim but generally that position is standard.

I changed the gauges to Wiki on my Impact 2 PP and was told by FX customer service my warranty is now voided. The original black FX gauges were both off by ~10-15 bar. I called FX to ask that specific question and didn’t think about it until after the fact. Lol
