Huma regulator FX Streamline.25

Before I send off my Streamline (that I haven’t had a week grrr) for what I think are regulator issues, what is the difficult rating of installing a Huma ? I’m ok mechanically and have done a little ag work . On the Huma site it ask what pressure I want , what is the Difference between high pressure and medium ? In ft lbs or FPS with a .25 using 25gr jsb? Idk if I want to chance FX with my rifle for what they say will be 2-3 weeks even though it’s under warranty 
 
If you want to do the reg yourself, just email the guys at HUMA and tell them what gun it is for and they will set it there before they send it. However, you are going to be adjusting it :) And that part is easy.

I've sent my guns in to be repaired 3 different times. NONE of them have been under 5 weeks. However, to be fair, that was before the FX-USA was swinging and they were doing all the repairs.

Takes me about 2 minutes to degas and remove the regulator. Another 2 minutes to set the reg and reinstall. The regulator does go in small end first, the brass adjustment must point towards the fill port. I start the regulator very carefully and apply some divers silicone grease to the threads since they are very sharp. Once I get the regulator just passed the threads I will screw the air tube back on and let the tightening of the air tube push the regulator the rest of the way. Having a reg tester will greatly speed up tuning and dialing in your regulator. Use a 3mm cap screw and some needle nose pliers to remove the regulator for future removal.

Hi Pepper, 

I would strongly recommend you install a Huma Regulator in your .25 Streamline. Order the High Pressure 100-170 bar model and ask Huub to set it to 150 bar for you. That will give you the velocity you seek with the 25.4 grain Exact Kings. They are fairly accurate at close range but if you want long range accuracy then you should be shooting the 34 grain Heavy MKII pellets. The installation procedure is very quick and easy but you will need to shoot over a chronograph afterwards in order to set your hammer spring tension correctly.

The biggest benefit is its reliability, which equates to absolute consistency. Once it settles into a new setting it stays there without fail. A recent example of this would be my friend Gabe Rossi who answered you up above... the last time he chronographed his .25 Streamline his Extreme Spread was 4 ft/s between shots, and his Standard Deviation was around 1.3 ft/s if I remember correctly. You can cover Gabe's groups at 100 yards with a quarter lately. No joke! He has his Streamline dialed in to perfection and shoots it like a true professional competition shooter. I wish afford to buy him a ticket to Phoenix this fall to show those boys what long range accuracy really looks like from a humble Streamline!
