Huma Regulated .177 Marauder Rifle

To all the Marauder experts -

I purchased a Huma regulator for my .177 Marauder Rifle from Nick at Air Superiority and have finally found the time to get it installed and tuned a bit. First, a bit about my overall set-up: Huma regulator with gauge port set at 105 bar, .160" transfer port, Free Flight Hammer, and a shortened air tube. I love my Marauder, but find the rifle very 'nose' heavy, so I went with a shorter air tube to get better balance. To recover the lost shot count I added the Huma & Free Flight Hammer - hopefully this makes sense.

Shooting 13.43g JSB's, I get 50 shots at 835 fps (20.8 ft-lbs) with and ES of 18 fps. I'm really happy with the results but wonder if there is additional opportunity and what performance others may have achieved with a similar set-up. Just another note: the typical Marauder shot ping is completely gone and the report is a little bit lower with the Huma (both great benefits for me).

Please let me know if you have any guidance or can share your experiences. Thanks AGN.

Whoa! Your results are very good; in fact far superior to mine. By my math, 90 shots at 18.9 ft-lbs is a total of 1701 ft-lbs of energy while my 50 shots is a total of 1040 ft-lbs. My shorter air tube is roughly 82-84% (I don't know my exact interior volume) of the stock Marauder tube, so to achieve equivalent total energy mine set-up needs to make a minimum of 67 shots. 17 more shots is significant....

I'm not using the factory gauge block, but am using the stock valve. Have you modified your valve? Perhaps are you using a .25 cal Marauder valve? I think you have made these suggestions, in other threads, but for .22 cal regulated Marauders. I've read elsewhere the .177 valve should be ok, so I'm not sure what to think. Thanks for your help.

Sorry for not simply adding a pic of the shot string. Photobucket has been troublesome since the DOS attack this week.
