Huma Regulated .177 AA S500

So I got around to installing a Huma regulator in my rifle last weekend, and have been playing with the hammer spring length, hammer weight, valve spring tension and such to get the gun where I wanted it. Well, I think I've got it going pretty well now. Here are some numbers for those of you who may care to read them:

AA S500 Extra Fac w/ 231cc tube, Huma Regulator, massaged innards. 3000psi fill shot down to 1200psi. All shot strings are ten rounds. The numbers relate to feet per second. I left strings 5-11 out of the lineup because they look damn near identical to string 4 and 12.

String 1: String 2: String 3: String 4: String 12:
SD: 3 SD: 2.64 SD:4.58 SD: 2.44 SD: 3.46
ES: 9.27 ES: 8.3 ES: 14.95 ES: 7.15 ES: 11.48
Low: 778.3 Low: 775.3 Low: 767.8 Low: 768.8 Low: 765
High: 787.5 High: 783.6 High: 782.7 High: 776 High: 776.5
Avg: 783.3 Avg:779.1 Avg: 776.4 Avg: 772.4 Avg: 770.4

String 13: String 16:
SD: 2.64 SD: 6.55
ES: 7.87 ES: 22.57
Low: 774.4 Low: 749.6
High: 787.6 High: 772
Avg: 779.9 Avg: 764.5
I'm happy with the results. It seems the regulator settled in after the first 30 rounds and for the next 140 shots worked very well, keeping the SD in the high 2's, and ES under 10.

As for string three, i don't know what happened. Could have been a chrony problem or light in the back yard filtering through the trees. Given the pretty stable numbers of the other strings I'm not worried about it.

So string 3 not withstanding, I get 170 shots avg 775fps, with another 35 off the reg till the bottom drops out. 200 usable shots before refill works for me!
